Ngarrindjeri culture is alive and well in the Goolwa region. Head to Jekejere Park to experience hands-on elements of the Ngarrindjeri culture. It is a showcase of Ngarrindjeri people and culture for everyone to enjoy, while learning about the past and present of the Goolwa region and its original custodians.
The Ngarrindjeri Sharing Circle will have a village atmosphere with an Ngarrindjeri arts market stall, a unique storytelling space: Kondoli - the inflatable whale, bush tucker preparation in an in-ground fire pit including tasting the final products, three tents with multiple sessions and traditional Pulgi (homes) being erected on the site. For children there are several fun and interesting activities to entertain, while learning about another culture.
So come and share this fantastic experience with our oldest living culture whose ancestry to this region goes back over 50,000 years and continues today.
