When in Goolwa we choose to go slow; “Cittaslow” that is!
Cittaslow builds on the environment and local culture of a town, encouraging locals to take time out to think about what we should be doing and how we should be doing it.
Cittaslow encourages regions to produce and use local food and produce and allow time to enjoy eating with family and friends. This motto is now echoed throughout 25 countries around the world.
Cittaslow Goolwa aims to improve the quality of life for all residents, business operators and visitors to the region through sustainable environmental practices, use of alternative energy and support of local artists and artisans. The movement provides unique tourist experiences and preserves the town’s local heritage.
A team of Cittaslow volunteers will be on the ground for Kumuwuki / Big Wave to show you around Goolwa.
