Okay, so the internet has been around for a while now right? And we all know how broadband is going to change our worlds and revolutionise our sector - especially in rural and regional communities. But are we actually connecting yet as a sector? If not, why not?

This panel takes a look at the impacts (real and perceived) the internet is having on our sector, our practice and our capacity to do stuff together online. Why get connected? What are the barriers? What might a connected sector look like? What new things become possible when we are connected? What difference does it actually make? Does speed really matter? How fast will it be and will we be able to afford it?

The panel will explore the role of the internet in our sector through the lens of some recent projects that have been working to get our sector connected and working together online: Regional Arts Broadband campaign and Forum; National Cultural Policy; Creative Recovery; National Arts and Health Policy; National Digital Inclusion.
